Who we are

Gaelic Football Guide (gaelicfootballguide.com) is an independent information website. For questions about this site or your data, write to contact@gaelicfootballguide.com.

What data we collect

When you contact us. If you email us or use the form on our About page, we receive your email address, the name you provide, and what you write. Giving us this information is optional; without an email address, though, we cannot reply.

When you visit the site. Like every website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers record basic technical information for each request: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We do not use these logs to identify you, we do not combine them with other data, and we run no analytics on them.

When you use the contact form. Cloudflare Turnstile checks technical signals from your browser to distinguish people from automated traffic. We receive the result of that check, not your browser signals or the details of the challenge. The check loads when you begin using a form field.

There are no accounts, no comments, no newsletters and no payments on this site.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• Replying to your message. We read what you send and reply. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR and UK GDPR).
• Keeping the site running and secure. The hosting provider's logs help keep the site available and protect it from abuse. The legal basis is the same legitimate interest.

We do not use your data for marketing or sell it, and we make no automated decisions or profiles about anyone. We share it only with the service providers needed to deliver and handle your message.

Who processes your data

Cloudflare serves the website, processes the technical request data needed to do so, and runs the Turnstile anti-spam check on the contact form. Form submissions are sent through Resend, our email delivery provider, to our contact address. Our mailbox provider stores messages sent to that address. We use these services to run the site and reply to messages.

How long we keep it

• Your messages: 12 months after our last exchange with you, then deleted. We keep a message longer only if we need it to deal with a legal claim.
• Server logs: kept by the hosting provider for its standard period, which is limited and used only for operation and security.

Cookies

We do not use cookies for advertising or audience analytics. The contact form loads a Cloudflare Turnstile script and challenge frame for spam prevention; Turnstile may use necessary browser storage during that check. The rest of the site loads no third-party scripts, fonts or videos.

The score calculator runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing to us. If we ever add anything that sets a cookie, we will update this page first.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to our using it, or give you a copy in a portable format. Email contact@gaelicfootballguide.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority: in the EU or EEA, the authority in your country (the European Data Protection Board lists them); in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.

Visitors in the United States

We do not sell or share personal information, and because we do not track visitors, there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you think a child has sent us their details, let us know and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
